Tip Go right at opening to beat the tour buses and have the petirtaan (bathing pools) nearly to yourselves. To enter the water you must wear a proper sarong and follow the fountains in order, left to right — rent a sealed locker for phones and wallets. Bring a dry change of clothes; the spring water is genuinely cold.

Jl. Danau Tamblingan, Sanur
Sanur's slower clock, a quiet table on the Jl. Danau Tamblingan strip, and a conversation-first dinner two minutes from the lit boardwalk.
Tip We couldn't verify a specific 'Quincy' here, so treat this as the Sanur beach-road dinner rather than one address — Jl. Danau Tamblingan is lined with calm Western–Indonesian places. Take a corner table away from the street, order two mains to share, and finish with a walk south along the lit Sanur boardwalk.

Uluwatu, Bukit Peninsula
A hundred bare-chested men chanting cak-cak-cak as fire and surf frame the cliff — theatre you feel in your chest.
Tip Buy Kecak tickets at the gate by 5pm — the amphitheatre fills fast and the upper sea-facing rows sell out first. Hold tight to sunglasses, hats and snacks: the resident monkeys are practised thieves and will snatch anything loose. The 60-minute Ramayana fire performance ends just as the sun drops, so you get temple, dance and sunset in one sitting.

Candidasa (Sengkidu)
Jazz drifting across a candlelit garden — Sanur's case for the unhurried, properly grown-up date.
Tip Ask for a table in the leafy back garden rather than the streetside front — it's quieter and the lighting is far more flattering. Check whether your night lands on one of their live jazz evenings; the music turns a good dinner into a memorable one. The French-Indonesian menu does duck confit and fresh local fish equally well, so let one of you go West and the other go local.

Shoulder to shoulder over crackling and rice across from the palace — the most Balinese lunch you'll share.
Tip Come for an early lunch — the famous spit-roasted suckling pig genuinely sells out by mid-afternoon and the queue forms by noon. Order the 'special' plate (with crackling, sausage and the works) and split it with rice; one plate is plenty as a tasting for two. It's pork-only and very local, so it's a fun this-is-the-real-Bali date stop, not a romantic dinner.
